The first thing you need to do before setting off on an epic quest is to create your character, and, having no armour, magic cloaks, or even your basic tunic, I threw on a shirt from last years Weekend Of Darkness, featuring a stout drinking wizard with a frog familiar, and headed off to Blute’s Bar to pledge my clerical skills and magic light capturing device to DARKLORE’s cause.
Riding out as tonight’s vanguard were WARPSEER, a band of fowl magus’s that conjured up demonic hordes from the bowels of hell to carry out their evil bidding. Through scorching riffs, they burnt twisted sigils across the halls of Blute’s, under the gaze of the empty sockets of a goat’s skull, and provided the night’s first gut check by summoning the terrifying Troll King to do battle with the audience.

With no fanfare, armour, weaponry, or enchanted items to be seen, GLORA entered the fray. Without getting a look at their character sheets, my guess was that they’d put all their stat points into strength, agility, and luck, to so boldly walk into the realms of chaos so seemingly unprepared. They proceeded to pummel everything in front of them with pure bludgeoning damage, landing critical hits to every foe’s ears, and leaving an impression that will last long after the dents in their enemies’ armour have been hammered out. Do not mess with GLORA.

Through the fog of war, dark banners arose, heralding the arrival of DARKLORE. A hush fell over the battlefield as angelic chords rang out, tempting some to drop their guard in awe of the beauty, before realising all too late that The Great Elven War was already upon them. The force of DARKLORE surged forward, capturing tactical positions and gaining valuable resources, while telling those who survived tales of the success of previous campaigns across the lands of Tamriel, Sanctuary, and Middle-earth.

Those who had so far avoided being maimed, disfigured, and thrown upon the pile of corpses continued along DARKLORE’s warpath of carnage and destruction, spurred on by the promise of increased XP, and rare loot drops. Every survived skirmish was celebrated with drinking horns thrust skywards, and talk around the camp fire of even greater riches to be had in the next conflict. But while the Elven War was indeed Great, it must come to an end, and in what better way than in one last full-on assault on the High Heavens themselves?! The warbands steeled themselves for the final push to face glory or death, and together become immortalised in an epic night, whose tale will be told for generations to come.
