Portland Legends To Play With Orchestra, Launch Art Installation at MONA!

Despite a recent high-profile FOO FIGHTERS gig, Tasmania rarely gets international visitors - hell, most national tours don't even include it - which makes Portland alt-rockers THE DANDY WARHOLS very special. Not only are they no strangers to The Apple Isle, first coming down to ring in the new year at the 2005 Falls Festival, but keyboardist Zia has developed an art installation for MONA, the Museum of Old & New Art, an occasionally controversial and always awesome museum in Hobart that looks like it was created by a Bond villain. Oh, and they're teaming up with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra! Zia was my first EVER interview as a music journalist, so it's always a treat to sit her down and talk some SENSE...
